Section 3. The roadmap is that this functionality is required for the
cougar release.

Concur with Andy - remove NG. Correct term is "gateway" or "NAS
gateway".

have to be careful about modifying the /etc/network/interfaces file.

We have other runtime code that parses this file. Prior to bringing up
vsd/ipmd and expecting the interface commands to work

you need to ensure that the /etc/network/interfaces file exactly adheres
to its format as currently is in the rootfs.

There must be one stanza for each sc interface and this stanza must
contain the address, netmask, and route directives in that order.

The iface line must be preceeded by a auto line. The auto line may
contain an optional leading # character.

The FTI code must restore the file to this exact format.

=20

5.4. Need to talk to Brian Stark about MAC addresses. I don't know how
we set MAC address for the sc interfaces or if those

will be labeled on the chassis.

=20

8.1. The /etc/network/interfaces file will have entries for both eth0
and eth1 but the auto line will be commented out.

Note that I said eth0 and eth1. This is correct as linux uses eth. We
translate this to sc0 and sc1 within ipm.

=20

9.1. IP cable? Do you mean sc network cable?
